Is Slipknot extending their tour ?

Ok maggots.... There is some speculation going on about weither or not Slipknot will be touring for the rest of the year, but Slipknot will not comment on it until the date 9-9-09... Guess we just will have to wait and bleed.

Ever wonder what Slipknot's star stands for ?

  1. The star can be used to represent the Bahá'í Faith. To the followers of this religion (and mony other religions), the number nine represnts completeness.
  2. It can also be used to represent the Enneagram of Personality. According to Enneagram of Personality, the points of the enneagram represent a different type of person (called "Enneatypes") and how they connect to each other psychologically. They are refered to , collectively, by the number of their point i.e. ones, twos, threes, ect.

A song that no one sings... the unattainable

This is by far one of my favorite songs from Slipknot... mostly due to the lyrics......   VERMILLION PART 2

She seemed dressed in all of me
Stretched across my shame,
All the torment and the pain
Leaked through and covered me.

I'd do anything to have her to myself,
Just to have her for myself.

Now I don't know what to do,
I don't know what to do
When she makes me sad.

She is everything to me,
The unrequited dream,
The song that no one sings,
The unattainable.
She's a myth that I have to believe in,
All I need to make it real is one more reason.

I don't know what to do,
I don't know what to do when she makes me sad.

But I won't let this build up inside of me.
I won't let this build up inside of me.
I won't let this build up inside of me.
I won't let this build up inside of me.

A catch in my throat, choke,
Torn into pieces, I won't. No.

I don't want to be this but
I won't let this build up inside of me (won't let this build up inside of me) x4

She isn't real.
I can't make her real.
She isn't real.
I can't make her real.

Slipknot's next single set for release later this month !!!!!

Well as reported by Roadrunner records SULFUR will be Slipknot's next single off of the HIT album All Hope Is Gone. The guys shot the video 2 weeks ago, and radio stations around the nation are already itching to get this one on the airwaves. If you are a TRUE Slipknot fan then this song will be a treat for you, and if you aren't really sure about them. Just let the song speak for itself. The reasons for choosing Sulfur was made easy by the guys. They needed something that will show the maggots (Slipknot fans) that they are still the kickass band we've all grown to love, but they also realize that a single NEEDS Mass appeal as well. In this track in particular you will notice that Corey Taylor (lead singer) does his traditional Slipknot theme along with Vocalizations and a superb melody. In my prediction Sulfur is going to be the BIGGEST single they have released for All Hope is Gone. So in closing I hope you enjoy the song and call it in to your radio stations. STAY SIC !!!!!

Five Finger Death punch news !!!!

(with thanks to ffdpNM)

Los Angeles-based metal band FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has confirmed that it has parted ways with guitarist Darrell Roberts and replaced him with Jason Hook.

The group said in a statement: "The rumors are true, only with less spins and no turbulence. Every band has its growing pains, and after 18 months in the trenches, relentless touring and living together, we all came to a conclusion that a change had to be made. It was a mutual agreement between the band and Darrell, and both parties wanted to handle this with class and as friends in our own time and on our own terms. However, the rumor mill seems to work faster than anyone thought... It was a swift and smooth transition and we all remain good friends. All clichés aside, we really wish him the best on his musical endeavors. As for us, Darrell joined the band after our debut album was already recorded, so the direction and sound of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH obviously won't change a bit.
"

Jason has worked with many acts over the years, including ALICE COOPER, BULLETBOYS, STEPHEN PEARCY and VINCE NEIL. He also has a solo album out, called "Safety Dunce", which won the L.A. Music Award in 2005 for "Best Independent Instrumental Album." The CD saw Hook partnering with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH drummer and co-producer Jeremy Spencer to make a collection of recordings that strayed from traditional guitar instrumental music.

Commented FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Zoltan Bathory: "[Jason's] an unbelievable player, and a good friend of all of us, so we hope our fans will welcome him in the DEATH PUNCH crew.
"

He added, "We are pushing forward; the European tour is just a couple of weeks away. We're planning on more international tours in '09 and the release of our next record sometime this summer. We'd also like to use this opportunity to thank all of our fans for their dedication and their continuous support.... It's a rarity these days, but you guys are truly amazing and made this band a big success.
"

Video footage of Jason Hook rocking the axe for FPE-TV can be viewed below.

Darrell Roberts played guitar for W.A.S.P. for several years and took part in the "Neon God" recording and touring cycle. He was also a member of TUFF and he played the "James Hetfield" role in the popular late '90s West Coast METALLICA tribute band ALCHOLICA.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH was cited as one of the breakout rock bands of 2008, with their debut album, "The Way of the Fist", selling more than a quarter of a million copies and producing three singles, including the new "Stranger Than Fiction". With the new track climbing the charts and more touring on the horizon, singer Ivan Moody told The Pulse of Radio that the stakes are getting higher for the band in 2009. "It's getting intimidating, yeah," he said. "It seems like the more people falling into us, the more weight is put on our shoulders, the higher the expectations, but you know, I've never been one to run away from that kind of thing. For me, if it takes a little bit more pressure to get us out there to more people, and to make the shows better, I'm all about it. Bring as much of the pressure as you can possibly manage.
"

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's previous single, "Never Enough", was taken from an expanded edition of "The Way of the Fist" released late last year.

"The Way of the Fist" has sold 278,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The Canadian version of the CD, which was released on November 4, includes a live version of "The Devil's Own" and an acoustic version of "The Bleeding".

Cortini had the following to say about his exit from the band:

"It's been exactly 4 years since i joined Nine Inch Nails and the time has come for me to move onto new things.

I am grateful of the chance i was given: it doesn't happen every day to be able to work next to some of the most talented people on this planet.

Trent & Co. have been aware of this decision of mine for a while now and are prepared to take the band to the next step.

Five finger death punch experience

Well I am still buzzing off of all the superb music I have heard tonight... I mean COME ON I saw

<a href="http://photobucket.com/images/another black day" target="_blank"><img src="http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg163/jenovacon/abday1.jpg" border="0" alt="Another black day Pictures, Images and Photos"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com/images/bury your dead" target="_blank"><img src="http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh24/Sheasy666/BuryYourDeadble.jpg" border="0" alt="Bury Your Dead Pictures, Images and Photos"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com/images/in this moment band" target="_blank"><img src="http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s157/darkness_069/untitled.jpg" border="0" alt="IN THIS MOMENT Pictures, Images and Photos"></a>

AND OF COARSE THESE GUYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/?action=view&current=5fdpstreetteam.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/5fdpstreetteam.gif" border="0" alt="Official street team"></a>

<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/?action=view&current=fadedffdp.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/fadedffdp.jpg" border="0" alt="FFDP Fade"></a>

So going in to this I was expecting 2 things. 1.) It was gonna rock like a mutha and 2 I was going to get caught in a mosh pit.

Guess what ? .......... I was right, but let me tell ya.. It was worth every little bruise because the music felt so good going through my veins like some sort of intoxicating drug. Even the WALL of people leaning on my group we didn't care the adreniline had already kicked in, and seriously people you can't even go to the movies without spending $20, you can see ALL of these amazing bands LIVE for only $18. I was really pleased to know the price wasn't going to be something outragious. Because shit we all need a little money at concerts to get our drink on....lol... Ok ok I'm going to just cut to the chase and get into the concert now. We walked in to the Masquerade masq.com if ya wanna see the venue. Well be and my friend Mike aka xxjackfrostxx.buzznet.com went in and got right up against the stage.Great idea for a photo opp, but not so good when the shows start and you can't move because the GIANT force of people everywhere is rediculous !!!  Would've been good to had a lil foresight on that one. So what as soon as the first band (Another Black Day) hit the stage it was all over because the audience was so captivated by the music. That's what I love about metalheads.. When you all get together you all feel a since of comrodery while around each other.  Another Black days guitar rifts were out of this world. I actually caught myself a few times, and just had to say to Mike " damn these guys are good !!"..<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/?action=view&current=Concerts012.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/Concerts012.jpg" border="0" alt="Another black day"></a>..  ALSO I WOULD LOVE TO SHARE A SHORT CLIP OF ONE OF THOSE RIFTS I WAS TALKING ABOUT WITH YOU!!!

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LO2Uf21xqNs"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LO2Uf21xqNs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

I was very impressed. Don't be surprised if you start seeing ALL of these bands on my personal playlist. It really was that good. Then second was "Bury your dead" ... Ok I just have to say one thing about these guys "THEY ARE THE SHIT" seriously... I was absolutely blown away by their porformance. I'm still a little speachless as to what to say at this time. You guys have to get out and see ALL of these bands, and I BET that you'll come back and thank me later.

<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/?action=view&current=Concerts029.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/Concerts029.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

After those guys went off the stage we were all starting to feel the concert wear on us, but we knew that "All that remains" was up next so we quickly caught our 3rd wind, and it was on once again. While watching the show I was completly captivated by the lead singer. I've never heard a woman growl like her in my life. Yes I popped my All that remains cherry tonight...lol.... It was soo worth it though

<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/?action=view&current=Concerts055.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/Concerts055.jpg" border="0" alt="All that remains"></a>

I have no idea why I wouldn't let her hand go for this picture...lol... What can I say other than she is incredible. Then finally at 11 teh main event FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH !!!! I have to say this was the reason I was there and I thank these guys for turning me on to not only their music, but all of the bands they shared the stage with them. They started out playing the song "ashes" which ironically is the first on my playlist.. Weird huh ? , But anyway the crowd got soo hype that I was nearly crushed, but by this time I was soo infused with 5FDP metal that I just started to knock MFers outta my way. Because I made a vow that NOTHING or NOBODY was gonna mess this performance up for me. The bad part was that there was such pandamonium that I could barely even gt a shot of them, but I managed to scramble around and collect a few.

Soo yeah it was an amazing evening, and after the show I walked out to get some air, but I never saw Mike come out. Little did I know that he was still in the venue chilling and talking with all of the bands. I waited at the car for a second then went back to check it out and see if he was still there, and that's when a security gaurd steped out in front of me and told me I couldn't go back in. I explained to him that I believed that I had left my friend in the venue so that was AWESOME. Because as I walked through the doors the entire place was cleared out except for ALL of the bands, and of course Mike. When I saw this I was like HELL YEAH. So I just went on in and stated mingling with everyone. I talked to the guys of Another Black Day at first. Just shootin tha shit talkin about music, and then across the room I saw Ivan "Ghost" Moody of 5 Finger Death Punch. I immediatley went over and started a conversation with him. We stood there and talked for a good 20 minutes before he finally even eknowledged ANY of the groupies.... sad bunch those groupies...lol.. After that I was on cloud 9 so Mike and I went to the car and drove home. Doing nothing, but talking about what amazing time we had just had. Personally I think everyone should buy a copy of Five finger death punch's recent CD THE WAY OF THE FIST, and also I have a lil sneak peek for everyone here at buzznet. Ivan said that they will be touring Europe next, and he hopes to finish the next album within the next year.

<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/?action=view&current=Concerts071.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308/GuerrillaBlaze/Concerts071.jpg" border="0" alt="Me chillin with Ivan &amp;quot;Ghost&amp;quot; Moody of 5 finger death punch"></a>

Sorry it looks so bad it's kinda the rough draft, and I'll fix it all very soon
